Our Technology
Smart Mirror Fitting Technology
Finding the right frames for each patient is a science. Luckily, our team has smart mirror fitting technology to help! This tech allows patients to try on new frames, take pictures or videos, compare them side by side, and get instant feedback on how they look.
Smart mirror fitting technology also helps determine progressive lens design for patients. Instead of us taking several vision tests to determine optimal reading distance, the technology assesses the ideal placement for the lenses.
Digital Eye Exam with VISUSCREEN 500 & VISUPHOR® 500 from ZEISS
When testing a patient’s vision, the smallest advantages can make a world of difference. To assess each patient’s refraction, we combine 2 ZEISS refraction instruments for better results. This includes combining the central exam elements, vision testing, charts, and phoropter into one smart solution.
Refraction with the i.Profiler®plus and i.Scription® from ZEISS
The iProfiler®plus is a 4-in-1 system that helps tailor a specific glasses prescription called i.Scription. Traditionally, a prescription is measured to 1/4th of a diopter.
However, with this tech, we’re able to measure up to 1/100 of a diopter! This increased measurement helps improve color, contrast vision, and night vision for patients.

All our lenses come standard with ultraviolet protection and scratch resistance. After visiting our practice, we are confident you’ll see the world in a whole new colorful light.
Zeiss
ZEISS provides a broad performance spectrum in each lens category to best serve individual consumer needs. Individualized premium ZEISS freeform lenses provide the highest degree of customization in lens design and the optimal visual experience.

Love love love Dr. Barber & all his staff! I’ve seen Dr. Barber at his previous location; this was my first visit to CHROMA though. Blew me away. The technology they’ve implemented led to the quickest & most thorough examination. I went initially for my routine exam & to purchase my yearly contacts. Welp- they had way too many cute pairs of glasses & since my prescription had GOTTEN BETTER, I needed new glasses too. I had NOT budgeted the money for both contacts & new glasses. They were so so accommodating: set aside + added the frames I liked to my file, calculated all the prices (with & without insurance for both), answered my million questions, etc etc. Ended up leaving with my exam + contacts + new glasses for the same amount I used to spend on just contacts for a year. We love and adore Dr. V! He is personable, kind, and he knows his stuff! We drive 40 minutes to see him for our son. Staff was pleasant and went out of their way to help with insurance question.
